There are many plots of land available along the coast if you wish to build your own property, however, the price is dependant on location, access and the density of building permitted on the land.

In 2006 Turkey amended its’ property legislation stating that foreigners were not permitted to buy more than 2.5 hectares of land. Land outside zoned municipal areas or within areas of strategic, cultural, historic and economic significance is also off limits.

It is also advisable to employ a surveyor to confirm that all boundaries are marked correctly
